Train (rail timetable)
Take a train, take a taxi, take a trolley. We are urging people to travel to the Festival by public transport. A number of key roads into Katoomba will be closed to traffic and open for pedestrian access. Find below bus and train timetable information.

Also don't forget Tom the Pom's Drumming Workshop from 09:30am on Saturday 19th June, Festival morning. Just go along to Katoomba Public School and bring your energy

Steam Train - meet the steam train when it arrives at 12:05pm and special services will run to Mt Victoria during the afternoon. You can also travel directly from Sydney to the Festival starting at Central Station. More information
The Closing Ceremony and Fireworks Display - Swingtanic Sextet Swing, swing, swing at 6:00pm. Take your place for the big show on the Carrington balcony and roof
Winter Magic Story Telling at Katoomba Library - paint the Blue Read. Storytelling, book reading and special guest appearances
Short Film Festival at Paragon Cafe - (63 Katoomba St) famous for its chocolates will this year host a days short films in its wonderful art deco entertainment room. See the full programme.

Springwood High School Samba Band - The Blue Mountains Youth Samba Band is comprised of children between the ages of 13 – 16 who play traditional Brazilian Carnival rhythms.

Blue Mountains Jazz Ensemble - rockabilly and swing at its best

Dirty Lindy - the band redefines blues and swing music to their own original style.

Stage 7 - St Hildas Church (back hall)

Katoomba Dance Theatre - a community dance organisation in the mountains since 1986. This year the Mid Mountains Classes have been very busy creating four new dances, based on the elements – Earth, Air, Fire and Water, as well as a few other fun dances in between! This performance will involve children from 7 years to teenagers and aims to delight viewers with a contemporary approach to dance.

'Bush Whacked by Pat the Cat' - fun for children of all ages with the magic of music. Everyone invited to sing till you laugh and laugh till you cry! Let's all play along and give it the good Aussie try!

The Grand Parade
Parade Starts at 11.30am but it is a good idea to get into position along Katoomba St by 11am so you don't miss anything. To be part of the parade assemble at Katoomba Primary School Oval. The school is bound by Merriwa and Waratah Streets. Gather on the Waratah Street side no later than 10.30. You can also let us know about your grand plans for the parade at JOIN THE PARADE ...

Drumming Workshop with “Tom the Pom”

These much loved workshops will be held at Katoomba Public School’s Pat Heffernan Hall from 9:30 am on Festival morning. Learn some simple rhythms and be the stars of the parade. This is Tom's fifth year at the Festival and each year we get more compliments with regard to this event and their part in the parade than any other.

The Paragon Cafe famous for its chocolates will this year host a day of short films in its wonderful art deco entertainment room.
