Matt Boylan-Smith

Image 1

A natural story-teller, Matt Boylan-Smith grew up in the Blue Mountains and decided to travel the world and tell people his tales. After reaching number three in the overall Triple J Unearthed charts in 2013 with his song "three words," Matt Boylan-Smith started a side project with Alora and Senii (Finland). Their collaboration 'Down by the Ocean' reached the viral top 30 in both Germany and Finland on Spotify and gained heavy rotation on YLEX radio in Finland. Their second song "Free" is closing in on half a million streams on the Spotify.

Matt Boylan-Smith then paired up with producer Jeff Martin (The Tea Party) in Byron Bay to record his solo work. The one song released from this venture 'We Can Be Together" received airplay on national radio in Australia, Triple J.

He has since teamed up with producer Lon LeMaster (Toto 4, Don Henley) with mixing input from Beau Hill (Alice Cooper, Kicks, Winger and founding partner of Interscope Records) alongside sound Engineer Stephan Durant of Studio 301 in Sydney to complete the new album.

Matt Boylan-Smith has successfully toured Europe, Argentina and regularly around Aus-tralia either as a soloist or with his band. He performs regular festival slots and was last year asked to perform to a stadium of ten thousand people as the pre-match entertainment for a National Rugby League Game. He has performed live Sydney's most popular drive time program with Ben Fordham on 2GB. Boylan-Smith has recently returned to live in Katoomba across from the Saint Canice's Primary School, where he went to school.
