Eagle & The Wolf

Image 1

Built from heartbreak, forged on love. Sarah Humphreys and Kristen Lee Morris met and decided to make a life and music together as Eagle & The Wolf and now they live in the Blue Mountains. Highly regarded in Americana and blues and roots circles, Kasey Chambers has said "Separately Sarah and Kris are two of my favourite singer/songwriters ever but the first time I heard their voices together I was taken to a whole other place! The blend was like nothing I had ever heard before and broke my heart in the most beautiful way".

Their self titled album, Eagle & The Wolf, co-produced by the duo alongside Syd Green (Matt Tonks, Dirty Lucy, Iota) was recorded in an old farm house in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Australia. You can hear every breath, the crackle of the fire, and birds calling in the distance. It's as raw and heartfelt as it get.

Already Eagle & The Wolf have shared stages with the likes of The Blind Boys of Alabama (USA), Phil and Dave Alvin (USA), Kasey Chambers, Charlie Parr (USA), Kim Richie (USA), Archie Roach, Katie Noonan and Kevin Bennett. Their lead single, 'Mama, Son and The Holy Ghost' has had a huge response, premiering on Triple J's Roots'N'All, being playlisted on Double J and reaching Number 1 on the Amrap Regional Chart. The moody, underwater based film clip (directed by Joel Noble) has also been featured on RAGE and CMC. Eagle and the Wolf will be playing the main stage at Winter Magic.
